Instant Shape Size Chart

Our sizing chart below is to be used with your body measurements. "Instant Shape" corsets are rated to a 2" Waist Reduction and are to be worn with at least a 2" gap at the back. This is already factored in to our size chart. Simply select the Corset Size that corresponds with Your Natural Waist Measurement.  

Corsets are fully adjustable at the back. You can "Open" or "Close" the lacing at the Bust, Waist & Hip independently for the perfect fit. Our patterns have been developed and tested to fit a variety of body shapes using these adjustments.

The majority of the tension running through a corset is focused on the waist. This makes the waist the critical measurement when sizing your corset. The hip and bust can be "Opened" or "Closed" to fit provided the waist is accurate.

Unexpected success

After some very heavy physical work about a year ago I developed severe hip , lower back and leg pain. Physio and medical appointments achieved nothing. Googling suggested that corsets could, occasionally help (I suspected a pinched nerve, medics said not). As I had not had a proper night's sleep in months and normal exercise was becoming impossible I was getting a bit desperate.
Not much on the Corset story website is available at present and I only needed something plain but effective. Result?
Astonishing. Felt very strange at first, but after about three days of intermittent wear the back pain was almost gone. One week later, no pain for the first time in months even when not wearing it. A developing limp has also vanished.

I can't suggest doing this without medical advice, but desperation forced it (sod the stigma) and what a result.

Only problem: Sizing. When the site says XX inches it means XX inches minus 2 to allow for a gap at the back.

Being male the best I could work out was to go by hip size and rely on adjustment. Bought one size too small as a result but not complaining given the outcome.

Thanks to this I am back to proper excercise for the first time in six months and the corset is stored in case of future need.

Superb!

I recently received my order and I am absolutely blown away with my Corsets. Having never purchased a corset before I wasn't sure how the fit would be or indeed how l would manage to lace up myself.
Firstly, the quality and finish is absolutely superb! Secondly, it is amazingly comfortable and the fit is fantastic.
I followed the instructions on how to measure and also the lacing videos and it fits like it was made to measure!
I was expecting a quality product but Corset Story has exceeded my expectations, I will definitely be ordering again.
