Instant Shape Size Chart

Our sizing chart below is to be used with your body measurements. "Instant Shape" corsets are rated to a 2" Waist Reduction and are to be worn with at least a 2" gap at the back. This is already factored in to our size chart. Simply select the Corset Size that corresponds with Your Natural Waist Measurement.  

Corsets are fully adjustable at the back. You can "Open" or "Close" the lacing at the Bust, Waist & Hip independently for the perfect fit. Our patterns have been developed and tested to fit a variety of body shapes using these adjustments.

The majority of the tension running through a corset is focused on the waist. This makes the waist the critical measurement when sizing your corset. The hip and bust can be "Opened" or "Closed" to fit provided the waist is accurate.

I like wearing corsets for back support (I'm not interested in waist reduction at all), so was really excited about this one, because it reaches all the way to the top of the back. The workmanship is great as usual (I have a number of other corsets from Corset Story which I really love and find comfortable). Unfortunately, the side zip is a real downside in this one. I ordered my usual size and struggled to zip it up with the laces fully loosened. I decided to size up, but while I could zip up the larger size, it was too big at the top, so not a good fit at all. I will therefore be returning the corset. Perhaps it would suit someone with a different body shape (I'm a "pear shape"). In terms of the exchange process, it was very easy and the replacement corset was dispatched very quickly.

It is a beautiful corset, but quite difficult to get into, even when unzipping it and loosing it as much as I can. I wish it was more comfortable because it is such a lovely corset.

Over all a good historical inspired corset, the side zipper being useful, makes unnecessary the lacing and helps to get rid of the corset fast and easy. It gives a quite good shape, even if there are not so many bones.
