Bridgerton Season 2. Best looks for your new regency style wardrobe
Netflix’s Bridgerton was exactly the right form of fantasy we needed to sweep us off of our feet and take our breath away. This Regency-era drama was full to the brim with ladies of high society in extravagant gowns attending flamboyant balls, and heated scenes that definitely weren’t safe for family viewings.
This Regency-era drama was converted from the bestselling series of novels by Julia Quinn, which became one of Netflix's most watched original series.
Prepare for luxurious ballgowns, a great deal of swooning and plenty of drama, as the hit period show Bridgerton will be returning to Netflix for Season 2.
From recent confirmation by Netflix, Bridgerton will be returning to our screens on 25th March 2022.
Bridgerton season 2 is based on Julia Quinn’s novel, “The Viscount Who Loved Me” which focuses on the oldest Bridgerton brother, Anthony, in his search to find a wife.
A series of new photos were shared on Twitter giving us a taster of what is to unfold in the new season. From seeing these wonderful gowns, we are here to help with some of the series best inspired
Corset looks to enable you to recreate your Regency-era outfits.
Bridgerton Characters
Kate Sharma
Kate Sharma is Bridgerton’s newest leading lady, for those of you who have read the books you will know she she’s quite a complex character.
Her story begins when Anthony Bridgerton, who is keen to put his bachelor days behind him and settle down, is on the hunt to find a wife. He would like to marry someone who is beautiful. Intelligent and of the appropriate social rank but the only other requirement be that it must not be a love match, as he refuses to ever fall in love.
Anthony courts Edwina (Kate’s younger step sister), however, Edwina has vowed not to marry unless she has Kates approval and Kate immensely does not approve of Anthony.
As Anthony is pursuing Edwina, him and Kate also spend more and more time together and in most love stories we know where this may lead to.
From the series released photos you can see that Kate Sharma’s style is very elegant and sophisticated. Some of our favourite looks has to be this romantic blue empire line dress with beautiful silver jewels.
To recreate this phenomenal look and introduce this style in your day to day wardrobe, try either our Mesh Panel Sleeved Corset Dress or our Baby Blue Astronomy Print Longline Overbust Corset.
The Featherington sisters
In season 1 of Bridgerton, The Featherington sisters, Philipa, Prudence and Penelope are all spotted in a range of charming, colourful and daring looks and are sure to brighten up any scene.
From looking at Season 2 production photos, we are excited to see that the Bridgerton costume department has not let us down with the Featherington Sisters extravagant and adventurous style.
Although we are aware their style may not be to everybody’s taste, we love the emphasis on the bright coloured floral prints.
If you’re wanting to stand out and turn heads just like the Featherington sisters, to recreate any of their bold, eye catching looks why not try any of the below designs.
Yellow Embroidery Anglaise Cotton Corset (FTS009)
This ultra-feminine corset top harks back to the Romantic era with its irresistible femininity, lace and gathered frills. Made of beautiful broderie anglaise, this off the shoulder Bardot style top has short flared sleeves to add a little cover, whilst offering a waist reduction of up to two inches. Perfect as outerwear, the neutral shade of cream provides great versatility and is equally good with jeans or a floaty skirt on a summer night.
Queen Charlotte
Queen Charlotte is one of Bridgerton’s most daunting figures, embellished with lavish gowns, wigs and a constant desire to be entertained.
Just like the Featherington’s, Queen Charlotte’s style is very playful, colourful and outspoken. Each gown Queen Charlotte wears is beautifully glamourous and daring, she always pairs her remarkable outfits with the boldest accessories creating an extraordinary look.
If you to want to stand out from the crowd and show your fierce, vibrant and quirky side which is fit for a Queen we would recommend trying our Historic range

The Duke of Hastings and Daphne Bridgerton
Daphne Bridgerton made her first debut in front of the Queen who declared her flawless, this instantly made her the most promising lady of the social season.
Daphne attended many social events in order to meet potential suitors and as she was pronounced the diamond of the season, she had many suitors. Unfortunately, her older brother Anthony scared all of the suitors away, leaving her desperate to find a match.
Luckily for Daphne, the Duke of Hastings (Anthony’s old friend) returned to town to settle his fathers affairs and he has absolutely no interest in finding a wife.
After meeting the two of them reach an agreement to pretend to be courting to spark other suitors interests in Daphne and to show the young ladies that Simon (The Dukes of Hastings) was taken off the market. After the couple have spent of plenty of time together, they started to develop feelings for one another, they eventually fall in love and get married.
Compared to most of the characters in this series Daphne’s style is very subtle yet elegant, to recreate her style we suggest any Corset design in the shade of sky blue. This style of Corset will give you a very modern approach to recreating Daphne’s simple yet effective look.
Many of us are heartbroken at the news of Regé-Jean Page not returning for Season 2 of Bridgerton to play The Dukes of Hastings however, where there is a ball, the finest, dazzling couture will always follow.
From watching Season 1, it is hard not to fall in love with the many different style Corset gowns and Waistcoats, which are each lavishly accessorized with Diamond tiaras, sparkling necklaces and magnificent hairstyles.
Simon Basset always looked well dressed and sharp. His style and like many other men’s in the Regency era, The Duke of Hastings was often seen in rich, velvety outfits along with paisley prints mostly seen on silk-brocade vests.
If you’re wanting to recreate some of The Duke of Hastings looks in a more modern day approach we would recommend trying some of our Patterned Brocades.
